Children and Amphetamines

Amphetamines, there are many adult that really don’t understand what this chemical is, and how it can destroy children’s life’s.
Adderall tablets
Many amphetamines such as Adderall, Ritalin, and Vyvanse are chemically similar to cocaine and methamphetamine(prescription drug desoxyn amphetamine is meth), there most often prescribed for A.D.D., and A.D.H.D., but also for narcolepsy, obesity and a variety of other conditions.
The general public has been tricked into believing that these chemicals can be beneficial for children, although basic logic says otherwise.
Those given these medications are more likely to grow up to be shorter and underweight, and are more likely to have cardiac arrest early in life. This condition is due to the chemical suppressing appetite, increasing insomnia, and decreasing the ability of the body to convert food into energy. Cardiac arrest  rises due to the constant stimulant blood level. Due to the increase in insomnia over a prolonged period of time it can also lead delusions and schizophrenic behavior.
All these factors lead to a overall decrease in brain development, and CNS damage. By prescribing children amphetamines such as adderall your addicting them to stimulants, increasing their likelihood to take drugs, and permanently changing there brain chemistry. After withdrawing from these substances many children will feel drained for several days to weeks, feeling as though there living in a fog.
The reason this medicine is so often prescribed is due to it’s ability to calm children down and make them more concentrated. More often then not children are asked to visit councilors in school, and requested to visit psychologists when acting up. When children are acting up it may be due to hyperactivity, or a lack of understanding of personal boundaries, or the feelings or emotions of there peers and elders.  This can be due to many factors, some children may not be getting enough attention, some may be viewing the wrong sorts of media for their age group, some of it may be due to bad parenting or environment. However a lot of times people just forget that children are supposed to be hyperactive in the first place. Hyperactivity can be a sign of healthy development of the brain, the problem is when the brain is developing at a high rate the stimulus’s that they are taking in will impact them monumentally.
While some have had great experiences with these drugs, others are severely negatively impacted. While it limits impulses, it also increases specific forms of concentration especially in linear thought patterns. Having the skill to focus can be very important, but causing an emotionally ill child to concentrate without targeted counseling can be very dangerous. For example if you gave the ability to someone who wants to do right more concentration they are likely to concentrate on doing good things, but likewise if you gave the same ability to someone who wants to do wrong they are more likely to concentrate on doing bad things.
This phenomenon can be one of the many reasons that many high school shootings and other forms of mass violence is associated with these forms of drugs.
