Dead aid is a book written by Dambisa Moyo that discusses how financial aid in Africa, has actually hurt African countries. Damibsa Moyo completed a P.H.D. in economics at Oxford University, and hold's a masters from Harvard University's John F Kennedy School of Government, worked for the world bank as a consultant, and was born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia.
Dead Aid was a very well written well rounded book that discussed the burden Africa had to face from financial aid. She discussed in detail how aid is used poorly in Africa, and often in corrupt ways. Her Ideas on aid in Africa are bright and insightful, and her sources very well documented.
Her conclusion was that lending to Africa needed to be increased to business owners, aid needed to come to a halt, and probably other various topics that i'm currently over looking.
